
McMaster Yoga Club
McMaster Yoga Club (MYC) brings together McMaster students from across the university who want to integrate the practice of yoga into their lives. MYC is open to yogis of all levels with virtual classes (classes on and off-campus pending COVID-19) that offer a variety of yoga styles.
MYC offers a community unlike any other. Our members have access to classes taught by yoga instructors across Canada! Our schedule is released monthly with a range of around 3-4 classes per week. Our members are free to attend whichever classes fit in their schedule.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all yoga classes are offered free through Zoom for McMaster students, alumni and master's students. 2021 Schedule tab to find out when we are offering classes.

The Answers You Need
ARE CLASSES FREE?
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all classes are held virtually through Zoom and free until further notice. No memberships are currently being sold. Some classes are in collaboration with charities or fundraisers and may ask for voluntary donations.

WHO CAN SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?
The more the merrier at MYC! We welcome all undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, faculty, friends and family!

I'VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE, CAN I STILL COME TO CLASSES?
MYC offers a wide variety of classes to meet all needs and levels! All are welcome to participate in any of our classes as instructors will offer modifications and you can take breaks as needed! Not sure about a class? Send us an email, dm on Instagram or pm on Facebook!

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Signing up for zoom classes is easy!
1. Click this link: linktr.ee/macyoga
2. Press "sign up for classes"
3. Fill out the google doc
4. Wait for an email from us! (Be sure to check your spam junk folder)

WHAT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN A ZOOM CLASS?
1. A completed waiver (which you will find in our weekly emails)
2. Access to a device that allows you to use Zoom
3. Preferably a yoga mat but, a blanket or carpet can make do
4. Enough space to be able to move your body
5. Comfortable clothing
6. We strongly suggest having water nearby
7. Some classes may require specific props (like a pillow or blanket)

WHEN ARE CLASSES?
MYC likes to welcome a wide variety of guest teachers and create classes based on the time of year! Therefore, our schedule changes every month! Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for monthly schedules!

HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?
Our classes usually run for an hour but occasionally we have 30 or 45-minute classes to fit your busy schedule!

DO I HAVE TO TURN MY CAMERA OR MIC ON?
MYC wants you to be as comfortable as possible during classes, so there is no requirement to turn on your camera or mic! However, if you are comfortable, we would love to chat before classes and see your smiling faces!
